Fishing Derby
June 5, 2009
This year we had close to 400 people attend!
Thanks to all who made this another successful year!
Again, the Colorado Division of Wildlife
set up fishing clinics to teach the children about fishing, and provided rods and reels to
each child to use and take home.
Denver West Trout Unlimited donated
the cost of the meat,helped with the cooking and catching of fish.
The 5280 Basshunters were on hand.
Thanks to their volunteers who helped immensely!.
West Metro Fire Department was on
hand and let the children climb on their truck.
The Sportsmen's Warehouse provided bait.
The Texas Roadhouse of Arvada (Michael Murphy)
donated dinner and appetizer certificates
The Colorado Bowhunters Association set up and manned an archery range with dinosaur 3D targets.
For the third year, Dreyers Ice Cream came with their
dipping station, full of ice cream treats for everyone to enjoy while at the fishing derby.
Charlie O's Photography, Charlie Ogard
donated his talents as our professional photographer also for the third year in a row.
Charlie was available to not only shoot the Derby, but offered to do family portraits for our families!!!
Many fish of all sizes and types were caught. Everyone who wanted to catch a fish...did!
Thanks to all of the great volunteers and people who helped make this another successful
fishing derby for the children and their families!!!
