Journey 11
November 9-13, 2002
On November 9-13th, 2002, a 16-year-old fighting Ewing Sarcoma with a leg amputation enjoyed an elk hunting journey donated and provided by Ute Lodge. The hunting was a challenge due to the amount of snow that was present during the journey. Despite this challenge, they managed to get out on horseback every day to hunt and were presented with several opportunities, but came home without an elk. However, he had a wonderful time just being there. This "journey child" had to over come tremendous physical challenges to go on the journey. He died April 2003 our thoughts and prayers are with the family.
