Journey 28
On August 1 - 4th, 2007, Dude Ranch stay.
On August 1st through the 4th, 2007 a “camping trip” was provided for a
5 year old girl that is fighting heart problems and Down’s Syndrome.
Unfortunately, a real camping trip in a tent could not be made available
because of her limitations.
So, lodging in a cabin was provided by
Sundance Trail Guest Ranch
in Red Feather Lakes, Colorado for this little girl, her Mommy and her Daddy.
A make believe camping trip was created.
As part of her journey, she rode horses, had a campfire with
sing-a-long songs and smores, and got to do a little hiking (in her
stroller). Dan and Ellen Morin of Sundance went above and beyond to make
special accommodations in making this make believe camping trip a
reality. The staff of Sundance, were also of great help in making sure
that this little girl could ride the horses during her stay.
Mom couldn’t thank Joseph’s Journey enough for the happiness and smiles
that this journey brought her little girl!
